Guelph Queer Equality (GQE)

Guelph Queer Equality provides a safe space and supportive environment for all people in the trans, bisexual, lesbian, and gay community. People of all races, religions, sexual orientations, genders, ages, and abilities are welcome. Guelph Queer Equality events are not restricted to the University Community, they are open to people from the Guelph Community in general.

Almost every Tuesday you can come hang out with GQE as we tackle a variety of different topics in different formats ranging from movies to workshops and discussions. There will also be nights to socialize and do something fun, like crafts, games and swimming! Tuesday Night Socials are only run during the fall and winter semesters.

OUTline is a resource and support service that specializes in questions and issues relating to sexual orientation and gender identity.

OUTline pays particular attention to the needs of individuals who have not or are just beginning to come-out, as well as to the individuals in their lives (friends & families) who are supporting them.

Rainbow Chorus of Waterloo Wellington

The Rainbow Chorus is a charitable, non-profit organization of amateur non-auditioned choral singers. We join together in song and celebrate the diversity of our community.Our members (gay, lesbian, bi, trans and straight) come from small towns throughout South Western Ontario.The Rainbow Chorus depends on financial support from its members, sponsors and communities.

ACCKWA’s GLBTQ Youth Group

Provides a safe and supportive atmosphere for youth ages 16-24 who are gay, bisexual, transgender, or questioning to discuss issues that are relevant to them while respecting confidentiality.

Cambridge Youth Group

Social group for LGBTQ+ youth ages 13-18 yrs that is in collaboration with OK2BME, and KW Counselling Service. This is a safe space for LGBTQIA+ teens to hang out and meet to people.

Gay (+) Men’s Social Group

Gay (+) Men’s Social Network is a monthly social & discussion group for the 2SGBTQ+ communities and their allies. All men are welcome to join us. In using the term "gay (+)", it is not limited but it is inclusive of ALL men: gay, transgender, Two-spirit, bi, questioning, ally. "Gay” comes in every shape, colour and age, and, as we have learned from the Internet, there is an appreciation for everything.

We regularly meet in Waterloo, Ontario. We plan events within mostly the Wellington & Waterloo counties.

KW Youth Group

KW LGBTQ+ youth group is for youth ages 12-18, held at the KW Counselling, alternating Tuesdays from 6-7:30pm.

OK2BME - Waterloo Region

OK2BME is a set of support services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or questioning (LGBTQ) kids and teens in Waterloo Region.

These support services include:

  • LGBTQ-positive individual and family counselling;
  • social and recreational groups;
  • public education;
  • consultation and collaboration;
  • and, help establishing Gay-Straight Alliances and other similar initiatives in local schools.
